Creative Freedom for DJs❓I love where DJing came from AND where it’s going 🚀 The ability to manipulate and shape music with my hands through this artform is an obsession that first started with analog vinyl and now continues to progress as digital technology and my creative ambitions develop side by side 💡 For years I’ve collected acapellas, instrumentals, and samples from whatever songs I could find, to offer the most options when performing or creating personal remixes/edits 🔊 But there’s an endless list of artists and labels that don’t make their studio stems publicly available, which is always frustrating - DJs and producers you know what I’m talking about! 😩⁣

So the freedom to isolate, extract, and mix individual stems from any songs in realtime feels like another milestone for the craft and I’m sure the AI tech responsible will only keep on improving 📈 The freedom to mix songs together in ways that wouldn’t otherwise be possible before, made making this showcase video a lot of fun - for example finally being able to scratch Wutang over Onyx! 👐 For the geeks out there, I’m sure you’ll pick up on the moments when I cut out vocals, drums, or harmonics from tracks using the EQ knobs instead of having them behave like regular bass, mid, and high EQ controls 🎛⁣
