Larung offerings which are held every 1 Muharram (1 Suro) is a hereditary tradition for the residents of the South Coast, especially in Tambakrejo Beach, Wonotirto District and Serang Village Beach, Penggungrejo District, Blitar Regency.

This tradition is a form of gratitude for God's blessings in the form of fortune, safety and abundant natural products.

Every year, this tradition is always awaited by thousands of visitors from various regions. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Larung Sesaji activity was held in a simple manner and closed to the public with the implementation of strict health protocols.

The Larung Sesaji ceremony is very sacred and is believed by the residents of Serang Village and its surroundings as an ancestral cultural heritage. All followers and invitees at every Larung Sesaji implementation at Serang Beach are carried out based on Javanese customs by wearing typical Javanese or Kejawen clothes.
