*PARIS, July 28, 2024* – “The Unwinding,” a compelling short film by American filmmaker Brendan Davis, is now available for free on YouTube and the official website, theunwindingfilm.com. The film stars Kevin Michael West as David, Izyan Hay as Lily, and Daniel Charles Doherty as Chris. It was produced by Roger King for 200 Media, with executive producer Stan Ruszkowski for Ruszkowski Entertainment, and additional producers Brendan Davis, Susan Qin Davis, and Naeem Seirafi for Malkuth Pictures.

“The Unwinding” explores the poignant story of David, a grieving widower who finds solace in an unexpected friendship with Lily, a food delivery girl. As David navigates his profound loss, his friend Chris regularly checks in, worried about David's well-being. The film delves into themes of grief, hope, and the complexities of aging.

*About Brendan Davis:*
Brendan Davis is an internationally recognized writer-director-producer with a career spanning over three decades. He has worked on notable projects premiering at Sundance, Toronto, and Berlin film festivals, among others. His diverse portfolio includes the Chinese TV hit "Jia Pian You Yue," the documentary “Yibin: An Elemental Journey,” and the feature documentary CRAZYHOT. Currently, Davis is developing several projects, including the Paris-based feature film MY FAVORITE SEASON and the documentary MAO/NIXON.
