These Soldiers must complete the Combat Water Survival Assessment (CWSA), a series of grueling endurance-based swimming challenges that test stamina, strength, mental fortitude, and sheer will. The CWSA is a part of the Jungle Operations Training Course (JOTC), a rigorous 12-day training that takes place at Schofield Barracks East Range in Hawaii.
