Have you ever been surprised with someone’s perception of a situation where it seems like they have made up a story to explain something that doesn’t make sense to you? Well, if you are in the world of brain change or dementia, you’ve probably encountered confabulation – the ability our brains have to fill up the spaces/story when we don’t understand a situation. The PAC team discusses this phenomenon and explores how to go along with it so that we can take someone out of distress and move them towards engagement or connection with us.
