Composed by "Brian Howe" and "Terry Thomas", "If You Needed Somebody" is the fourth track on the 1990 album "Holy Water" and performed and released by British rock supergroup "Bad Company", formed in Albury, "Surrey ” in 1973 by singer “Paul Rodgers”, guitarist “Mick Ralphs”, drummer “Simon Kirke” and later bassist “Boz Burrell”.
The song "If You Needed Somebody" is the band's first top 40 hit since 1979's "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy", peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also hitting #1 for 2 weeks on the AOR charts.
"Peter Grant", who managed the rock band "Led Zeppelin", also managed "Bad Company" until 1982. The band enjoyed great success throughout the '70s.
