A educação em saúde tem o poder de mudar a vida das pessoas. Em Morogoro, cidade do interior da Tanzânia, uma iniciativa particular, através de cursos de educação a distância produzidos pelo LAIS, está transformando a realidade de centenas de pessoas.

A iniciativa motivou a produção do recurso educacional "Shughuli ya afya ya kujitolea kwa jamii katika maeneo ya vijijini" (A atividade do voluntário de saúde comunitária em localidades rurais, em português), produzido completamente no idioma suaíle, língua com maior número de falantes na Tanzânia.

O curso formou, até meados de setembro de 2020, cerca de 200 pessoas, com destaque para vilas em comunidades rurais no interior do Tanzânia, entre alunos inscritos online e offline.

Health education has the power to change people's lives. In Morogoro, a city in the interior of Tanzania, a private initiative, through distance education courses produced by LAIS, is transforming the reality of hundreds of people.

The initiative motivated the production of the educational resource "Shughuli ya afya ya kujitolea kwa jamii katika maeneo ya vijijini" (The activity of the community health volunteer in rural locations, in English), produced entirely in the Swahili language, the language with the largest number of speakers in Tanzania.

By mid-September 2020, the course trained about 200 people, with emphasis on villages in rural communities in the interior of Tanzania, among students enrolled online and offline.
