The new Thomson East Coast line has given us easy access to many more places and we’re keen to explore them all over time!

We went to Marine Parade, a side we usually know that has the beach but this time we went to the food centre. It was a wet and windy day so we were glad of the breeze blowing through the centre as we had lunch.

We wandered around the little shops that sell so much from toys to clothes and cleaning supplies and much more in between. Jonty remembered the Syrian smelling good when we explored the new MRT line on the day it opened so we followed our noses to the fruit market and had some durian. Aspen tried it again with a mixed review but getting ever closer to enjoying it. Milo happily took some this time!

Wanting to stay out of the rain we needed up in the shopping mall there and were pleasantly supportable at the shops on offer. Some shopping malls look like copies of one another but this one had a nice open feel with several independent shops and others we haven’t seen before.
Feeling a little tired after getting back into school and work routine after the holidays we stopped off at a cafe new to us for a rest.

Whilst flicking through social media we realised there was a free concert for National Day in at the stadium OCBC arena so we stopped off there to get in the National Day spirit again!

A fun family day with a great surprise ending!
