In this video we will teach you what you need to know to be successful catching wild or stocked trout on spoons. The key to spoon fishing is in reeling just fast enough to keep a tight line while pumping the rod tip to give a darting and erratic action to the lure. A steady retrieve will catch fish, but an erratic retrieve will catch more. Jordan is going to talk about thinner spoons like your standard Daredevils, usually good later in the spring when the water is shallower, a little warmer, and trout are more aggressive.
