A comparison of the boxes used by ten of the most common production knife brands.

Each knife company has different marketing goals when it comes to their packaging. ZT has an obnoxiously large sized box because they the big boys of hard use (or were). Case went for a classic American art design, Buck kept it simple, and CRKT tried to appeal to "professionals". Benchmade revised their design to be slightly larger, have thicker cardboard, and to be more visually appealing with metallic colors.

As promised in the video, here are the box dimensions in alphabetical order. Measurements are listed in inches first and centimeters in brackets. Everything is in Length x Width x Height format.

Benchmade (Old) : 6 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 [15 x 6.6 x 3.5]
Benchmade (New): 6 x 2 11/16 x 1 9/16 [15 x 7 x 4.5]
