How to Make a Solid Surface Countertop With Just Hand Tools. Corian countertops have been used by woodworkers for a while because they work much like a hardwood and can be shaped in much the same way. when I remodeled my kitchen I wanted to put one in but found it was so much cheaper to buy a raw sheet of Corian or solid surface counter top and make it myself. This DIY counter-top was so much easier then I expected and I love how it came out. so here is how to make a countertop.
