Former Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu has emphasized the need for dedicated and passionate leadership in Kashmir, asserting that political dynasties are not the answer to the region's challenges.
In an exclusive interview with Awaz the Voice, Mattu discussed how his political perspective has evolved and broadened, reflecting a vigorous change in his approach to public issues. He also revealed that he has taken a temporary hiatus from political activities after careful consideration.
Previously affiliated with the Altaf Bukhari-led Apni Party, Mattu has since resigned from the party and is running as an independent candidate for the Zadibal constituency.
