Ina's Fig and Ricotta Cake! So delicious and perfect when fresh figs are available. My friend Catherine stopped by with a couple of pounds of fresh figs, so we had to give this ricotta cake a try, and it was perfect! Fairly easy for even a beginner baker. This cake is tender, elegant, and best served a little bit warm. Enjoy!

Note: I used a darker springform pan, which resulted in fairly caramelized sides to the cake. It was perfectly fine, but I would suggest lowering the baking temperature to 350ºF if you have a darker color pan.
