I recently had two vintage wooden hand-lanes gifted to me by a family member, and they were in really good shape, so I'm now using them on nearly every client job restoring historic sash windows and doors - some dating back to the 1700's.

I regularly get funny looks from other trades who think its mental to be still using these kind of tools in 2020+

What do think? personally in a lot of situations they're a way better option that modern tools, but not always.

I don't really care if you subscribe or not, and honestly, i know you dont either. I do hope though that you enjoy the video, or better see, learn something are inspired, or maybe even get why i might take something destined for the landfill, and restore it to use in the restoratoration of something else.
