Now I built a custom rack for my 1973 Volkswagen Beetle to so I can take it with me.

The upper brackets bolt to the ventilation ribs, the lower brackets bolt to the bumper supports.
It is more than strong enough to hold the volkspod, which weighs around 35 kilograms.

If I unlock the upper brackets, the whole rack can hinge down so I have access to the engine.

I took the volkspod with me to the Bugshow 2024, the biggest aircooled meet here in Belgium, and people really seemed to like it.

Unfortunately I haven't driven it much because of the bad weather.
