there is a short-cut route in ECR while heading towards Thoothukudi from Nagapattinam or the other way. without going to Ramnad city and proceeding in ECR the traveller can continue to ride / drive until the diversion for uththirakosa managi appears. the road reached the ECT at Idhambaadal after crossing Uththirakosamangai. Using this shortcut helps in managing time, distance and traffic.
