Equipped with Bundeswehr Canvas Infantry Tent Halves we head out in the Black Forestm aware of Severe Rain. We hike over soaking wet ground and find a good spot where we set up camp. We build a Shelter with 3 Bundeswehr Zeltbahns and one Plash Palatka. As the Shelter is ready we light an old school oil lamp. Next we gather fire wood and start a Fire in the Pouring Rain.
Sören cooks Käsespätzle in the Shelter. We spend the evening by the fire, trying to dry and fall asleep to the sounds of the rain.
The next morning we get up search for fire wood and drink water collected from the tarps. We start a new fire and prepare a warming soup. We pack up and leave the camp. To be continued in Part 2.
