Galileo x Annie Power. Mystical Power is bred in the purple and he highlighted his talent with a commanding success on hurdling debut in the opening race of the 2023 Galway Festival.

Trained by Willie Mullins and owned by JP McManus, the four-year-old cruised into contention under Mark Walsh and put the race to bed in a matter of strides, powering clear in stylish fashion to record a seven-length success and justify 6/4 favouritism in the process.

Winning trainer Mullins said afterwards: "He blew me away anyway. That was a different calibre of performance there. Today he showed us more than he's ever showed at home. I think there's a lot more to come."
