Fremantle Dockers vs Fitzroy Lions - Round 22, Sunday 1st September 1996. 100 years of VFL / AFL Football history comes to an end as the Fitzroy Lions lose their final game to the Fremantle Dockers by 86 points. With Peter Mann, Dale Kickett and Clive Waterhouse dominating for the Dockers, and Brad Boyd, Jarrod Molloy and John Barker fighting bravely for the Lions. This video concludes with scenes from "Fitzroy: At Their Best", including the haunting rendition of Auld Lang Sine sung by WA soprano Sara Macliver from atop the Southern Stand, and Fitzroy great Bernie Quinlan recalling the merger / relocation possibilities considered by the Lions as early as Season 1986.
