Approach Spicemas with an open mind, immerse yourself in the culture and embrace the fun.
If you plan to judge, complain or resist the culture, it's best to avoid Grenada, especially during carnival time. Even if you're not participating in carnival activities, you'll still experience a significant part of Grenadian culture.
For example, I encountered plenty of people with masks, chains and non-stop loud music outside my Airbnb and I absolutely loved it. While staying there, I noticed complaints about loud music in reviews, so if you're not open to this experience, Grenada may not be the right destination for you.
Personally, I adore Grenadian music and Jab Jab, making Grenada my top choice for carnival every year. Grenada always has a special place in my heart and I never miss it.

Aside from Jab Jab and carnival, the island itself is stunning, boasting numerous waterfalls and attractions to explore. Additionally, the cuisine and the locals are amazing. The warmth and hospitality of Grenadians are unmatched, making it the most welcoming nation in the Caribbean.
