Peter Wilton Cushing, born on 26th May 1913 in England, was a British actor renowned for his compelling portrayals of villains and heroes in film and television. Cushing began his acting career on the stage in the 1930s, before gaining prominence in the 1950s for his roles in Hammer Horror films, notably as Baron Victor Frankenstein and Professor Van Helsing in adaptations of classic horror tales. He showcased his talent in various roles, including science fiction, drama, and adventure films. He notably portrayed Grand Moff Tarkin in "Star Wars", leaving an indelible mark on popular culture.

Despite the loss of his wife Helen in 1971, he remained committed to his work. Peter Cushing died in 1994, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations of actors and fans alike.
