Hi Universeeeee,

I'm back with a saxophone cover of the Song, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman.

I am a student of the Nationale Volksmuziekschool ( NVMS ), one of the biggest and best music schools in Suriname. NVMS is a music school where you can learn to play several instruments, such as Saxophone, Keyboard, Piano, Guitar ( all types ), Violin, Singing, Clarinet, Doubles Bass, Drums and more. I am a student of NVMS since June 2022.

Previous year December, they organised a Christmas Musical Night at the music school itself. And almost all of the students took part in this.
Even I took part in it with 2 more saxophone students and my teacher, Mr. Bud Gaddum. This was my First Ever Live Saxophone performance. After I came from Guadeloupe, where I represented Suriname at the L'Ambassadrice Diwali International 2023 Competition , I started practicing the song ( before leaving for Guadeloupe, I did practice it a few times ) with the group. I wasn't the best student, especially in the beginning, but I did my best. As you can see I am not an expert and still in my learning phase. At some point I played a wrong note, but tried to keep going. When the song didn't sound like it should be, Our teacher stopped us and we started again ( not from the very beginning ). We still did a good job and ended well. I am super #proud on the entire group and especially on myself, because I was the #onlygirl between #four males ( one was a boy ).
