GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta.
About 12000 units were built
The ferrari 308 GTB was introduced to the salon of Paris and London in 1975
From 1975 to June 1977 the bodywork was made of fiberglass, while from 1977 to 1985 it was switched to steel.
Initially the fuel feed was aspirated, in 1980 mechanical fuel injection was offered (308 GTBi); then at the 1982 Ferrari launched the 308 quattrovalvole (four valves per cylinder).
