"Twin Dream", the first new track from Austin, TX experimental black metal / post-hardcore trio GLASSING, since their breakout album Spotted Horse, is a meditation on splintered realities recorded during the time of COVID in an old Texas Country music studio that had a wistfulness of nostalgia and comfortability but a bleakness reserved for those who could see the crumbling infrastructure. The track is a slow burning, moody exercise in bleakness that ranges from grim to hopeful to destructive. "Twin Dream" is the search for an answer that’s nearly in reach, if only the fractured dream could be made whole. As it exists now, the shared dream is a fantasy nightmare, one half-blinded by happiness, while the other blind to happiness.
