Cruel band conductor Terence Fletcher uses extreme measures to push his students. Aspiring drummer Andrew Neiman is determined to impress Fletcher, secure a core spot on the band and create a legacy for himself, but Fletcher's verbal and physical abuse eventually eats away at him.
