St Andrew's cathedral Choir Sydney was at Saint-Eustache (Paris) on Sunday January 5, 2020, as part of a "200th Anniversary Tour to Europe, visiting some of the finest places to sing in the world": St. George's Chapel (Windsor Castle), Chapel of King’s College (Cambridge), St. Paul's Cathedral (London), the American Cathedral (Paris), Saint-Eustache (Paris), La Madeleine (Paris), Duomo di Siena, Santa Maria della Pieve (Arezzo), Basilica di San Marco (Venice).
The last song, performed in tribute to the victims of the bushfires in Australia, was "Lully, lulla, lullay", a Coventry Christmas carol (16th century), arranged by Philip Stopford (2008). It is a moving lullaby, lamentation over the slaying of the Innocents ordered by Herod (event celebrated on December 28).
