You can do the same, or you could be more subtle about it, it's up to you, and your skill set :) ------- Chords: [:Ebm7, Ab9:] [:Fbmaj7, Gb6:] Dmaj7 Fmaj7 - Bb7(b9,#9)

Try playing modally!

Ebm7 - Ab9 = Eb Dorian
Fbmaj7 - Gb6 = Eb Phrygian
Dmaj7 = *D Lydian
Fmaj7 = *F Lydian
Bb7(b9,#9) = Altered (jazzy V chord)

*remember this GOLDEN RULE: Any time you can't relate a maj7 chord to the home key, just play LYDIAN over it!

Also, don't forget that you can tune your axe to Eb and play in the people's key of E Minor!
