🚑 🚨 You are dispatched to a male patient who is short of breath due to COPD. You arrive on scene and have been treating with oxygen via non-rebreather, bronchodilators, corticosteroids, and magnesium sulfate but the patient continues to deteriorate.
These are their vitals after treatment 30 minutes from hospital.
• Skin - Pale
• LOC - fatigued but conscious
• Eyes - PEARRL
• Resps - 8 shallow
• Pulse - 146 with PVCs
• Temp - Normal
• BP - 108/60
• SPO2 - 83% on NRB
• ETCO2 - 68 shark fin
