Back in 2014, when I was a student in lovely Edinburgh, the long-delayed, wildly over-budget, truncated and now widely loathed Edinburgh Tram line opened, connecting the city centre to the airport. In following years the trams became a ridership success, however, and so in June 2023 the long awaited extension to Newhaven via Leith finally opened to the public.

Join me on the first day of operation to explore this new stretch for the Edinburgh Trams!
