The videos were shot on 02/06/2015 near Giornico, more precisely near the helical tunnels of Biaschina, one of the most spectacular points on the southern Gotthard ramp, before the opening of the base tunnel.

Since the end of 2016, long-distance freight and passenger traffic has been traveling regularly in the new base tunnel, while only RegioExpress trains managed by TiLo and some periodic tourist trains are currently visible along the historic stretch.

In this video you can see an immense variety of freight trains (managed by DB, SBB and BLS), in addition to the SBB Interregio and the Eurocity to and from Milan (Italy).
