Fountain "Torta degli Sposi", Piazza Castello, Milan

The construction of Fontana Torta Sposi dates back to 1932.
Originally it was not located in Piazza Castello but in Piazza del Duomo in a smaller version together with another twin fountain in front of Palazzo Carminati.
It was provisionally moved to Piazza Castello in 1936 and 3 years later it became definitive.
It is a recirculating fountain of about 1,200 square meters with a circular system composed of tanks at different heights. The edge of the tub is in Pietra da Vicenza.
