Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum confirmed that the island would be up two times the size of Palm Jumeirah, adding an additional coastline of approximately 110 kilometers.
The Palm Jebel Ali should be completed by 2008 but was stopped due to the financial crisis.
