REMASTERED (1966 Shirley Bassey appearance on the Andy Williams Show)

Shirley Bassey appeared on the Andy Williams Show, which aired on NBC on 11/27/1966. I included old footage showing the start of his show for the first 1.20 minutes. I then remastered the better footage which is newer and of better quality. Shirley and Andy are two of my personal favorite singers of ALL TIME! Both artists were in the business for 70 years! Andy passed away of Bladder Cancer in 2012 at 84 years of age. Thankfully, we still have Dame Shirley with us!!

Shirley first performs one of her 1963 hits titled, 'I Who Have Nothing'. Then, she and Andy perform a duet of several songs from the past.

ABOUT the song, "I Who Have Nothing"
"I (Who Have Nothing)" (sometimes billed as "I Who Have Nothing") is an English language cover of the Italian song "Uno dei Tanti" (English: "One of Many"), with music by Carlo Donida and lyrics by Giulio "Mogol" Rapetti. The initial version, "Uno dei Tanti", was performed by Joe Sentieri in 1961. In 1963 this song (music) was given English Lyrics by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. In this same year, both Ben E King (USA) and Shirley Bassey (UK) had a hit with this song. Shirley's version produced by George Martin was a top 10 hit in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. In 1970, Tom Jones struck gold with this song as well. In 1979, Sylvester recorded a disco version of this song and had a minor hit in Canada, Ireland and the UK. In my humble opinion, all versions are great by all artists who have recorded this classic.

LYRICS - I Who Have Nothing:
I, I who have nothing
I, I who have no one
Adore you and want you so
I'm just a no one, with nothing to give you but oh
I love you
You, you buy her diamonds
Bright, sparkling diamonds
But believe me, dear, when I say
That she can give you the world
But she'll never love you the way
I love you
You can take her any place she wants
To fancy clubs and restaurants
But I can only watch you with
My nose pressed up against the window pane
I, I who have nothing
I, I who have no one
Must watch you, go dancing by
Wrapped in the arms of somebody else
Darling it is I
Who loves you
