Star Farm is a hybrid agricultural-social service enterprise located in the shadow of the former Stockyards of Chicago, a neighborhood called Back of the Yards. Founded in 2016, Star Farm provides fresh food for the surrounding community and operates a CSA that delivers citywide. Its mission is to use urban agriculture to transform the neighborhood that meatpacking built.
