The bible says in the book of Proverbs 18:10; The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

The word of God is a weapon and it's only effective for those who know how to use it, many have called on the name of Jesus in the times of trouble and nothing happened, because some do not even have faith in the name while some do not understand the revelation behind the name of Jesus, it's not enough to have the bible in your hands, having knowledge of the word of God and knowing how to apply it in the times of prayer and in the days of trouble is what makes it effective.
