This beautiful platter blank was harvested and cast in epoxy resin by Lesson's Lumber in Turkey and shipped to my shop in the US to experiment with. This was one of 7 blanks created from a gnarly old Olive Tree that no one wanted to salvage or mill. The founder of Lesson's Lumber persisted and finally talked the mill workers into slabbing that tree and this is the result. So thankful to be entrusted with such an awesome piece to turn.
