In 1994 roller coaster fever hit the United Kingdom with the opening of three iconic rides - Nemesis, 7up Shockwave and Pepsi Max Big One.

These immense custom creations were planned and constructed at separate British parks. Creating a media buzz and hoping to capture the imagination of the public and entice them to visit.

Nemesis at Alton Towers thrilled riders with an intense ride on inverted trains. Travelling through a themed environment and achieving worldwide recognition.

Drayton Manor’s Shockwave brought the first and only Stand Up coaster to the UK. Putting a little known theme park on the map.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Big One towered over the seaside resort. Taking the world record for the tallest and fastest roller coaster.

These legendary rides have recently been renovated, reborn or reimagined and will continue to thrill for years to come.
