In this video we are installing our plywood sub floor on top of the insulation and battens installed in Part 1 (Watch here:    • Battening + Insulating Our Sub Floor ...  )

We decided to use 12mm plywood to maximise the height available in the van and this worked really well. As this project is intended to teach us new techniques, we decided to biscuit joint the 3 plywood boards together. We also decided to treat the plywood with a sealer/protector as this wood will be in a precarious place on the floor!

Overall it worked really well although templating around the various corners and curves in the van was fun! I'd invest in a proper scribe tool next time!

WHO ARE WE?

We're Mark and Neil and this is Our Van Plan. We've always wanted a camper van and took the plunge in 2020 by ordering a brand new medium wheelbase (L2H2) Fiat Ducato. We are converting it ourselves into the van of our dreams with little previous experience. We're glad to have you along for the ride!
