Under the government's net zero plans, 88% of vehicles that are sold in car dealerships have to be electric by 2030 and gas boilers will have to be replaced with other heating systems in the very near future.

Alex Phillips questions if political parties should discuss scrapping net zero pledges in order to get the keys for Number 10. She says: "The costs have been MASSIVELY underestimated."

Andrew Montford, Deputy director of Net Zero Watch, thinks the reason the UK is going ahead with net zero plans is because the public is being fed disinformation.

He says: "The information coming out of Whitehall and the Committee on climate change is essentially fictional."
