This is an excellent belt sander to sand pipe or tubing and a round-shaped workpiece to eliminate welded seams to make it look as though it was a solid piece of material. The faster the speed of the sanding belt, the smoother the finish of the workpiece. A 50 grit belt on this tool can achieve a finish similar to the 120 grit hand sanding process simply by sanding it with a great amount of speed.
