The 5th Gen 4runner has been around for almost 15 years. Most trucks get at least one body style change in that length of time. The 5th gen was starting to show its age in regards to tech but has the off road chops for most buyers to overlook. Toyota did not want to mess this up. Have they done enough with the new 6th Gen? Time will tell. Better hurry if want to scoop up one of the last 5th Gens still out there they will soon be sold out and dealers will be making room for the new 6th Gens. No word yet on pricing or when the TRD Pro or the new Trailhunter will be available.
