Linda Fried has been Dean of the Mailman School of Public Health since 2008. “I greatly believe that great institutions matter for the future of society,” she recently told Columbia News.

“And in particular I believe that public health and the science and knowledge that schools of public health are responsible for creating is foundational to the success of future societies.”

In addition to her duties as Dean, Fried serves as Senior Vice President of Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and Director of the Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center.
