Review of Google's PixelBook Go, its latest Chromebook for 2020 and one of the best Chrome OS laptops out there - although it comes at a price. Even the base Core m3 model costs £629, while my test model (core i5) begins at £829. Still, the performance is perfect for gaming and all of your apps, and Google's new Chromebook is one of the greatest choices for battery life and general portability.

That skinny 1kg magnesium frame is ideal for carrying around all day, and the PixelBook Go is just as solid in almost every other department. I love the Full HD screen, with touch support and 100% sRGB coverage. The keyboard may offer shallow travel but it's whisper quiet, backlit and comfortable to use all day long.

If you have the bank for it, I'd say go for the PixelBook Go over rival Chromebooks from Acer, Dell and Lenovo. However, if your budget is a bit tighter, the competition isn't very far behind at all. And the likes of Acer offer a respectable Chrome OS laptop for just £300 or under, so it's a lot more wallet friendly.
