Huge fire destroys historic building Poltimore House in UK city - kids ‘seen running away’
Dramatic pictures show the scene of a massive and suspicious fire at Poltimore House near Exeter. An arson investigation has been launched following the blaze at the historic property which broke out in the early hours of this morning.

The incident is currently being treated as a suspected arson, and the police are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the time of the fire to get in touch. There are no details at present as to the extent of the damage.

Initially, ten fire engines were sent to the scene, but this has now been reduced to three. Devon and Cornwall Police are also present at the scene.
