Believe it or not, it’s time to start your Christmas pudding. This Christmas pudding recipe in a slow cooker is one that was handed down from my Grandmother and it is so delicious. The reason why you start it now is that it must rest to let all the flavour develop. This Christmas pudding slow cooker recipe is easy and adaptable, and the result is delicious. You can add your favourite dried fruit or nuts to it and put your stamp on it. The Christmas pudding ingredients that I use are very rich and high quality so that it will be the ultimate result – a rich and decadent dessert that can be served with custard, cream, ice cream or all three!


Ingredients
• 400g packet dried mixed fruit
• 1 Orange and lemon zested
• 100g Suet
• 100g butter
• 1 apple coarsely grated
• 200g glace cherries
• 100g prunes chopped
• 100ml whisky or brandy
• 100ml Guinness
• 200g brown sugar
• 100g golden syrup
• 3 eggs
• 150g fresh breadcrumbs
• 300g self-raising flour
• 3 tsp ground cinnamon
