Shortly after I uploaded this vid I found Gadi Moja had uploaded pretty much the same thing from a different angle, sooooo here's another angle!

This video was recorded by me at the last WAPI event I attended which was in 2008 if I'm not wrong. I was lucky enough to capture what may be considered a legendary Rap Battle between Gadi Moja of the Kalahari camp and Khaligraph Jones.

Funny enough I found this video after over a decade and tried (unsuccessfully) to upload it yesterday then this morning (05/10/19) I opened Instagram and the first post on my feed is Khaligraph sharing footage of this day. The video he shared is a portion of a previous battle that lead up to this final battle and below is the caption of that post:
"When I was a Young Boy around 15, 16 years old, I stepped up on the Stage for the 1st time as Khaligraph Jones, it was on this day, since then I never looked back, I made it to the finals but lost the last Battle cause I was Spitting real barz and not Mchongoano, but you Know what? That was the Genesis of the OG.. The OG shall Be respected #respecttheogs #mrinternational"

On this day, history was made. If anybody knows the exact date please let me know, thank you!

"Wapi?" in Kiswahili means "where?" and is an acronym for Words And Pictures. WAPI events occurred monthly at the British Council, Nairobi, and it was the main platform in which celebrants of the Hip Hop Culture would convene. There were several notable people at this event. The video starts off with Kenyan graffiti legend Uhuru winning the main prize in the graffiti category. On stage is WAPI organiser and event host Buddah Blaze and hosting the battle is Point Blank Evumbi.

Round 2: Khaligraph - 3:12
