Florence Scovel Shinn wrote that the subconscious mind isn't going to challenge you. It only says "yes". It's like a your wish is my command. You have to be careful about the messages that get down there. Florence will tell you that the subconscious mind is just a power, like electricity. You tell the subconscious mind what to do and it does it. It takes orders. It doesn't give them. It's not going to talk back and say "Girl, that's a bad idea" or "No, guys, we're not going there and I'll give you something else instead". No, it takes your command and makes it happen.

Remember, this isn't a battle. It's a game. If the subconscious mind were to talk back and challenge you, it'd be putting up a fight and that goes against the core concept. This isn't a battle; it's a game. But it puts the onus on you to do this right and to realize what you are doing and thinking. You can get it right but you can also get it wrong.

I think of Abraham Hicks and one of their iconic videos, which I'll link at the end. In this video, they say -- you will not be told no. We just want to know, is this what you want to be proven as right? Other teachers pick up on this and say that you will be proven true. The experiences will come into your life to prove you right. Knowing that, you might want to start thinking about what you want to be proven as right. What do you want to be proven as true? When you catch yourself complaining, ask yourself that question. Is this what you want proven as true?

One thing that stops us from thinking more positively is that we often think that the negative thoughts are facts and are already true. No. Florence would point out that you're in the conscious mind. It's like having a filter where everything looks grim and depressing. If you were in the God-Mind, you'd be filled with fullness of hope and possibility. It's up to you to decide which mind you will want to impress upon the subconscious. If you want a tip for this, don't use your words to describe the situation. Use them to change it. Use them aspirationally. Focus on what could be and believe that you're worthy of it.

Thank you so much for listening. If you like this video, let me know. I'll leave another video of mine on your screen that I think you'll enjoy and I'll link to that Abraham Hick's video. I hope you are having a good morning, a good afternoon or a good evening, wherever you are. Again, thank you for listening and I'll see you next time.
