Join us for an illustrated virtual presentation featuring the architectural design and history of the Indianapolis Propylaeum and Schmidt-Schaf House at 1410 N. Delaware Street. This program will look at interesting architectural and artistic details of the main house and the carriage house and the styles that can be seen.   

Dr. James Glass is an architectural historian and historic preservation and heritage consultant.  His career has included positions as staff historian for the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission, Director of the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, and Director of the Graduate Program in Historic Preservation at Ball State University.  He has written a monthly column on Indiana history and heritage for the Indianapolis Star since 2003 and authored books on the history of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and the Gas Boom in East Central Indiana.
