Donner Pass, CA.
.
Join me up granite splitters, sparse gear, and amazing chimney climbing on the first pitch of One Hand Clapping (5.9). This was my first time at Donner Pass and man was this route a treat. I accidentally started this climb with half as much gear as I should have. Instead of backing off, I decided to be mindful and only place gear where I needed it. Luckily this pitch was well within my climbing ability and ended up being very enjoyable and easy to protect. The middle section of this pitch with the double hand cracks inside the shallow chimney was some of the most unique and enjoyable climbing I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Be sure to stay tuned for Pitch 2, which got way more intense!
