Here are some 8mm cine films taken at several parades in Barrow-in-Furness. These were formerly know as the "Hospital Parades" and drew large crowds of spectators to watch and support their charitable causes.

The film marked as 1962, on reflection, must be about 10 years later since the new town centre is built. Why the sign above the door of the old Palace theatre shows "Essoldo Club" is a mystery. Historical articles indicate that the theatre changed from being owned by the Essoldo Group to a Bingo Hall in 1963, but maybe it was 1973 in reality!
